It can be hard to find stores that are actually ethical or that just care about the environment. So I took this tedious task upon myself, and I came up with a list of stores and brands for you and the PERFECT website that will help you find more .

Let's get started:

1. Patagonia: This brand grew out of a small company that made tools for climbers, and even though they have grown a lot, aplinism remains at the heart of their business. They also use at least 1% of their sales to help hundreds of grassroots organizations all over the world. Their mission: "We're in business to save our home planet". Doesn't that sound nice? They also have a section named Worn Wear in which they fix used clothes and also sell clothes made from other garments. When you enter that section, one of the first things you'll see is their statement "Why extend the life of gear? Because the best thing we can do for the planet is cut down on consumption and get more use out of stuff we already own". It honestly can't get any better than Pataognia.

2. Everlast: This brand is known for their ethical production process and radical transparency. They use the best factories around the world (including the world's cleanest denim factory), build personal relationships with the owners to ensure the factory's integrity, and they design their products to last. Everlast also shares the true production cost of their clothes. Plus, they are quite an affordable ethical brand, the apparel can cost from $50 to $100.

3. Sézane: This is a french brand that believes in sustainable production that benefits people and planet. They consider themselves a part of the Second French Revolution.

"We created a new brand, born fully online. The absence of intermediaries allows us to invest in quality, while maintaining accesible prices. We believe in responsible stock volumes and a lean production model. No overproduction and scruplously considered pricing."-Sézane

Their prices range from approximately $100-$150 dollars.

3. Rent the Runway: This is not your typical store. Rent the Runway does not actually produce clothes, but it is actually a subscription fashion service that powers women to rent unlimited designer styles for everyday and occasion. The subscription is monthly, going from $69 (which allows you rent pieces from 4 to 8 days) up to $159 (which allows you to rent unlimited pieces, and you can swap anytime).

4. Outdoor Voices: This brand makes sports and active clothing, they create interchangeable layers that are great for any season or activity. They source textiles with sustainability top-of-mind, including their sustainably-sourced merino wool and recycled polyester made from water bottles, and they prioritise working conditions and ethical practices. The clothes cost approximately from $50 to $100.
